Project: Communications for Communicators (C4C)
Location: SDC Complex, Ateneo de Manila University, Katipunan Ave. Quezon City
Monthly Compensation: Up to PhP 18,000 a month, depending on the competencies and experience of the applicant

Communication for Health Advancement through Networking and Governance Enhancement (CHANGE) is a five ‐year USAID/Philippines project that zeroes in on the need for strategic and sustainable communication interventions that will “sell” healthy behaviors; generate increased demand for FP, MNCH, and TB products, methods, and services in the country; and ultimately, contribute to the reduction of maternal and child deaths, and TB prevalence.

Establishing the Communications for Communicators School (C4C) is one of the major capability building strategies of CHANGE. The ultimate goal of the C4C is to raise the standard of communication skills –from merely messengers to strategic communicators and thinkers – among the health promoters thus becoming effective change agents on health in the country. Together with the Johns Hopkins University – Center for Communication Programs (JHU-CCP) and the DOH, the C4C aims to provide the communication “scholars” three (3) competencies namely ability to think strategically in communication, resource mobilization for local communication activities and transformative leadership.

The ASoG is currently on the lookout for qualified candidates for PROJECT ASSOCIATE, who will:

I. Assist the Director in the smooth flow of day-to-day research and operations of the project/ program.
II. Provide logistical support on on-line learning/counseling and health communication project design and implementation.
III. Assist the Director in the implementation of Trainings.
IV. Perform research-related work in training such as preparation of training needs
assessment and other special research activities;
V. Facilitate the conduct of activities such as seminars, workshops, and forums.

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for the abovementioned position are:

1. College degree (in communications, social sciences, management and other related courses);
2. At least one (1) year experience in development-oriented work in government, academe, civil society and/or the private sector;
2. Good oral and written communication skills;
3. Good analytical and organization skills;
4. Computer literacy and familiarity with different applications and programs;
4. Willing to travel independently to different parts of the country;
6. Experiences in training facilitation and proposal development will be an advantage.
